What channels for monetization are there?
Generally there are three ways of licensing or selling IPR´s:
1. Direct marketing,
2. Online marketplaces,
3. Intermediary.
First metdod is; direct marketing is the typical way and is the search for licensees or buyers. After identification follows the contacting.
Second way is that the potential stakeholders are brought together via online marketplaces.
The number of online marketplaces has increased enormously in the past few years.
High attention have to be paid to the seriousness of the platforms.
Last method is intermediary linking of IPR´s with industry and/or investor and have often a large network, which simplifies the monetization process.
